You don't really need a tri suit. I got one of the new trisuits from Black Bibs ($125).Definitely a sprint. It's better to do a well done, shorter race, and enjoy, than suffer a lot through a longer race, just to accomplish. IMO the olympic is the hardest race of all distances I've tried (super-sprint, 1k/100k/10k, and 70.3). 31. sonygoup • 8 mo. ago.Are you tackling your first 70.3 or full Ironman and wondering if a triathlon bike is really needed, or whether the trusty road bike will be enough? We look at the evidenceFor a new entry-level triathlon bike, you can expect to pay between $1,500 to $4,000+. Even for a used tri bike in good condition, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something under $1K. Keep in mind that high-performance triathlon bikes are often priced between $5,000 and $10,000+, so the spectrum of options and cost is vast.Tri color Syngonium Lil baby. Dream plant that I'll never have lol congrats on yours though! It's beautiful 😍. Thanks so much. It’s so tiny now I’m pretty sure I over paid, but I was desperate. Totally understandable! I've been wanting one for over a year myself but it's still crazy expensive. I keep watching for a trade. So pretty!Get down to 2-3 days a week of lifting and structure your workouts around compound lifts that work different muscle groups (ie OHP/deadlifts same day, squat/bench/rows another day). I agree here, but maybe even consider 1 day of lifting. Muscle weight is not your friend in a triathlon if you plan to be competitive.Tue, Mar 12, 2024. Most regular triathletes sit down and grind out til done, TT style. Most race crashes are riders overcooking a corner or surface: low-drama slides, not judo flips. Sportives are more pack-ridey intense than even race day. This subreddit is unofficial and moderated by reddit community members and Zwift community managers. Say Hi if you see us, we don’t bite. Yea, I just realized they had a new version of the tr5s. I don’t do a flying mount at all, but wasn’t sure if tri specific had any other benefits outside of that. First sprint tri - bad swim experience. Hi, Had my first sprint triathlon yesterday. It was a 500m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km (actually 5.7) run. I was really blown away by the swim and not in a good way. We started and didn’t feel like I went too fast, but probably did. After 200m or so I was really choking for breath. Second to last at my first Sprint TRI. 750m swim took me about 50-55 minutes. That was 4 years ago, in two weeks I have my first half and my target swim time will be 36 minutes. It's been a wonderful journey. 1. hirtle24 • 2 yr. ago. Not last overall but my first tri ever I was last out of the water. So true. A gym membership by me is $80.
